Computer for CS:GO

Chips CS:GO

Many players love CS:GO, many want to stream on it, record videos for YouTube. But all this requires a good computer. It is clear that a lot of mind is not needed to spend 2-3 thousand dollars and assemble the best PC for today. But the problem is that not everyone has the extra money for such a purchase. In today’s article, we will try to figure out which computer for CS:GO is worth building.

CS:GO requirements

If you need a PC purely for counter – then pay special attention to the system requirements of the game.

Minimum:

  • OS: Windows® 7 / Vista / XP.
  • Processor: Intel® Core ™ 2 Duo E6600 or AMD Phenom ™ X3 8750.
  • RAM: 2 GB of RAM.
  • Video Card: Minimum memory 256 MB or more, support for DirectX 9c and Shaders 3.0.
  • Disk space: 15 GB.

Recommended:

  • OS: Windows 7/8.
  • Processor: Intel Core i3 3.6 GHz.
  • RAM: 8 GB.
  • Video card: AMD Radeon R7 260X or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950.
  • Disk space: 20 GB.

In the first case, these characteristics will be enough for you to simply run the game on your PC and play it with a minimum FPS (about 40). In the second, you get all 300.

Actually, in this case, the FPS indicator is the main thing to pay attention to. Who doesn’t know – this is an indicator of the frame rate on your screen. The larger it is, the smoother the picture will be, which means that you will have enough time to react to the enemy and kill him first.

In principle, if you just want to run in MM, for fun, then you can choose something in between, in terms of characteristics, “between” the parameters provided above. For a more or less normal game, 100+ fps is enough for you, and such a system unit will cost you $ 300-400 dollars.

What computer do you need for CS:GO

But if you are going to stream or record videos, you can’t get off with a cheap assembly. So that you understand what is at stake – let’s take everything in order.

Video card

Today – video cards come from 2 manufacturers: Radeon and GeForce. Better to take the latter, tk. the former are more for software than games. Actually, an indicator of 300+ FPS is given by all video cards from GTX 1070 and above, with a video memory indicator of 2 GB or more.

If you have money – take 4 GB or more, so that with a margin.

CPU

As for the processor, to play at maximum speed – you need an Intel® Core ™ i5-8400 or some AMD equivalent. Here the manufacturers are roughly equal, and Sasha S1mple would not agree to advertise AMD if they were a complete mess. Well, if you also plan to stream, then it is better to take something like Intel® Core ™ i7-9700K or even more powerful.

RAM

As for the RAM, in principle – even 8 GB DDR3 – is enough for you to play comfortably at maximum speed. But if your intentions are more serious, then it is better to take a couple of strips, 8 GB DDR4 RAM each. This will be enough for you for the next 7-8 years.

HDD

If you have finances, then be sure to buy yourself an SSD drive. It will allow your CS: GO to load 4 times faster, which will affect the overall game speed. So if your plans are focused on esports, the choice is obvious. And for streams – it will be more useful.

Well, on the HDD – you can store less important files.

Ready systems

But this – we do not advise you. The fact is that traders, for a finished assembly, “cut” about 30% of the excess. That is, if a PC will cost you 100 thousand, you will overpay about 30K when buying a finished car. Do you need it?

Ideally, build a PC yourself, based on your financial capabilities. Fortunately, modern online stores offer a huge selection.
